I didn’t expect much of this item and was pleasantly surprised. The band is not leather, obviously, but it is made of a silky soft rubber like you find on may other erotic toys. It has a nice quality locking buckle and comes with a new lock. My only complaint is that the strap is rather short and does not fit a man or large woman.

while the ring is a bit small for putting a penis or dildo thru, if you have a spit fetish its great. the gag prevents you from effectively swallowing any liquid dribbled in your mouth. the gag doesnt hurt the teeth which is great and the strap to secure it is comfortable too. the elasticity of the strap makes it easier to push the ring out of your mouth tho.
